The School
of Library and Information Science has three computer
labs
available for faculty and students in Marist
Hall,
on the campus of The Catholic University of
America. The lab in Room 131 Marist has 18 Dell Optiplex
745 computers running WindowsXP, Microsoft Office
2003, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and Library Science
applications,
such as LEXIS, Westlaw, Dialog, OCLC Connexion
and First Search.
In Room 131A Marist,
there is a Multimedia Lab with a Dell Optiplex 745
computer and an IMac, each with animated web site and
image creation
applications. Students may sign
up to use the Multimedia Lab online.
In Room 237 Marist,
there are six Gateway Pentium III computers with Library Science
applications supporting the courses currently
taught.
Mission: The primary mission of the computer labs is to
enhance the library science curriculum with the latest computer
technology and programs.
In order that the community of
students and faculty have a successful computing experience, users
are asked to follow the guidelines in the Computer Lab Agreement .
