About:
The Bridging the Spectrum Symposium offers a knowledge-sharing forum and meeting place for practitioners, students, and faculty in Library and Information Sciences and Services. Presentations on innovative practices, projects, and research activites are encouraged. Presentations may originate from any type of library, archive, or information services activity, and may encompass any aspect of Library and Information Professional work. Our aim is to host a diverse set of presentations and to foster connections across the spectrum of the information professions.
Keynote Speaker:
Roberta Stevens, President-Elect, American Library Association
Format of Presentations:
The Symposium will include primarily two types of presentations: briefings and posters. Other session formats may be proposed and will be considered.
Briefings will be 15-minute descriptions of an innovative practice, project, or research activity. There will be morning and afternoon briefing sessions.
Posters will be exhibits describing a practice, project, or research activity. Posters will be viewable throughout the day, and there will be a dedicated poster session during which prsenters will discuss their work with attendess.

- Proposal Submissions Open: July 13, 2009
- Proposals Due: September 11, 2009
- Notification of Acceptances: November 13, 2009
- Final Program Abstracts Due: Devember 11, 2009
- Presentations Due: January 10, 2010
Submission Instructions
Proposals from practitioners, students, and researchers are encouraged, and will accepted starting July 13, 2009. Submission will be accepted through a file management system found at http://cuaslis.org/openconf/.
